Meet Kindred Spirit Amelia Fleetwood

Artist Amelia Rose lives in the Ojai Valley and wears many hats, she works as a freelance art director, writer, painter and sculptor.

“ I love to create things that feel like they could have been found in an attic hiding between the pages of a beloved book, like small treasures to be uncovered and enjoyed.”

Artist Amelia Rose lives in the Ojai Valley and wears many hats, she works as a freelance art director, writer, painter and sculptor. She has been a contributing editor and can be read in many magazines such as Santa Barbara Magazine, C Home, Architectural Digest, Domino and others . She has also contributed to coffee table book, “Domino, your guide to a Stylish Home” and published another book called ‘Riding Through Compton.”


Most of her paintings are floral and are reminiscent of the old fashioned botanical drawings with an added fresh and uplifting twist. Amelia explains, “ I love to create things that feel like they could have been found in an attic hiding between the pages of a beloved book, like small treasures to be uncovered and enjoyed.” She mainly works in water colors and has originals as well as small batches of archival prints for sale. She continues, "I love a handmade feel to things especially in art, that way its easy to feel the energy that goes into creating them. I think that’s also why I am so drawn to Jes MaHarry’s work.”
