Carmalita

First... Carmalita was made from love. Then natural muslin was hand-dyed and hand-stitched. Sterling silver "Jes" charms, antique Venetian glass, turquoise and good luck white hearts, deersuede ears, velvet hooves and our own sweet lambs wool for the mane and tale. Each Carmalita was hand-painted and blessed with love and peace.

Years ago, Carmalita was offered through Sundance Catalog. We have brought Carmalita back for a very limited time. We have a very small herd remaining, so once they get adopted there will be no more residing at Sun Horse ranch.

I was riding sweet Carmalita on a crisp night with a full moon and a sky filled with twinkling stars and I heard a soft whisper "Be free, be free.." and I soon realized it was Carmalita. I looked to the ground and noticed her hooves had lifted and we were in flight, galloping lightly through the clouds with the soft wind blowing through her mane. I listened to Carmalita still whispering "Be free, be free" and I then realized that the true gift of Carmalita and of all horses is to remind us to be free in our own minds and bodies and to open our hearts.
